Our mentorship scheme has launched! We've recruited several experienced journalists who are happy to mentor more junior journalists on this beat.

Our mentors and mentees are paired for a year, meeting at least once per quarter either in person or virtually (so no, you do not need to be New York- or London-based to partake). Mentors can provide support, perspective, encouragement, and professional development.

We do a yearly recruitment drive amongst our regular members for new mentors and mentees. Our last drive was in March 2025.

If you missed this drive and you're interested in being a mentee, there are a few alternate mentors who would be happy to take you on. If you'd like to be a mentor, please note that you will need over 10 years of experience in the field. Currently we cannot guarantee a match with a mentee.
